How to use the Percentage Calculator

Choose A% of B, A as a share of B, or the percentage change from A to B. Enter both numbers in the displayed order.

Worked example

For 20% of 150, enter A = 20 and B = 150. The answer is 30. For a rise from 80 to 100, choose percentage change and enter 80 and 100. The answer is 25%.

How the result works

A share needs a nonzero reference value. Percentage change uses the magnitude of the starting value as its denominator and reports the direction of change.
